Self-paced learning
A model in which a person takes full responsibility for their learning, including goal setting, resource selection, time management, and progress evaluation. This type of learning is based on humanistic and constructivist theories of learning and encourages students to be independent and develop intrinsic motivation that promotes personal and cognitive development. Self-directed learning is a fundamental component of modern education, aimed at preparing students to adapt to the rapid changes in the work and educational environment. It is also used in open education systems, distance education and lifelong learning, especially in relation to the proliferation of open educational resources and e-learning platforms.
