Semantic Agraphia

A form of acquired writing disorder in which the ability to write words that correctly reflect their meaning is impaired, despite retained motor skills and some language abilities. Writing can be impaired due to an inability to correctly obtain semantic representations of words, leading to semantic errors (e.g., spelling cat instead of dog), a condition often associated with damage to the temporal lobes and areas of semantic processing, including the left anterior temporal lobe.
