Sensory ataxia
A type of ataxia caused by dysfunction of the sensory pathways that transmit information about the position and movement of the body, especially the proprioceptive system. People with sensory ataxia may have difficulty coordinating movements due to a lack of feedback from the limbs and other parts of the body, leading to instability when walking or performing tasks. Unlike other forms of ataxia, sensory ataxia can improve when a person can rely on visual cues.
