Social diagnostics
a complex process of studying a social phenomenon in order to detect, recognize and study cause-and-effect relationships and relations that characterize its state and trends in further development. It is based on research through a system of methods, techniques and methods. It involves the analysis of a social problem by dividing it into constituent elements, on which a mini-study is carried out. The obtained social diagnosis serves as the basis for making decisions and practical actions aimed at preventing and inhibiting the negative trends of the social phenomenon under study. Social diagnostics in rehabilitation includes an assessment of the social and environmental status of a person with a disability, an assessment of the professional and labor status and professional psychophysiological diagnostics (motivation, abilities, skills, professional interests and inclinations), psychological diagnostics (personality analysis, assessment of personality characteristics, the state of higher mental functions, violations of the emotional-volitional sphere, the level of ambition, etc.), the determination of the social insufficiency, determination of rehabilitation potential and rehabilitation prognosis, taking into account the existing capabilities of the rehabilitation system in the region.
