Social Psychology

A scientific discipline at the intersection of psychology and sociology, which studies the thoughts, emotions and behavior of people in the context of their interaction in social groups, as well as the psychological characteristics of these groups. The term was proposed by the Italian journalist C. Cattaneo in 1864. Social psychology investigates the influence of social and cultural factors on individual and collective actions, and also develops methods to improve interaction and mutual understanding between people. It allows us to understand the mechanisms of social phenomena and applies this knowledge to solve practical social problems and improve the quality of life.
