Somatic reactions can be both acute and chronic, especially if the grieving process is delayed or accompanied by complications (for example, in pathological grief). They are part of the body’s natural response to stress and can include the following symptoms:
1) Appetite disorders;
2) Sleep disorders;
3) Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract;
4) Headaches;
5) Muscle tension;
6) Autonomic reactions: tremor, dry mouth, feeling of shortness of breath, heart palpitations.
