Specialists of social institutions
specialists who solve problems, the main purpose of which is to help persons with disabilities and their families get the maximum benefit from the ongoing social programs. These include:
1) identification of persons in need of social assistance and rehabilitation;
2) formation of a data bank on the need for social assistance of persons with disabilities in the serviced territory, on the forms of assistance existing in the region and their effectiveness in accordance with the needs of persons with disabilities;
3) provision of various forms of social support (material, technical means of rehabilitation, etc.);
4) provision of social assistance to persons with disabilities and their families (assistance in housekeeping, in raising children, patronage, employment, social and legal protection);
5) representation of the interests of persons with disabilities in various instances and provision of intermediary services in establishing communication with law enforcement, public and state bodies providing support to persons with disabilities, when referring those in need to health care or social rehabilitation institutions;
6) establishment of relations and interaction with medical and other territorial social institutions, public organizations related to the solution of social and medical problems of persons with disabilities.
