A form of acquired writing disorder in which it is difficult to write irregular words that do not obey phonetic rules. These words, which cannot be written through the correspondence of sounds and letters, are often misspelled, relying on phonetic orthography.the condition is associated with damage to the lexical orthographic pathway, usually when the left parietotemporal or occipitotemporal regions are affected.
