Symptoms

Outward signs or behavioral and physical observations that indicate a particular disorder or disorder in the child. These symptoms represent the body’s and mind’s way of expressing neuropsychological problems or developmental delays and include changes in behavior, emotions, cognitive abilities, mental performance, motor skills, or social functioning. Symptoms are important initial indicators that guide the evaluation and diagnosis process, but they are not sufficient in themselves to determine the nature of the disorder or syndrome. They should be combined with a comprehensive study of the child’s developmental history, individual characteristics, neurological and environmental factors. Symptoms can be divided into direct, such as difficulties with speech or movement, and indirect, such as social isolation or chronic anxiety, each of which provides valuable information about the child’s higher psychological functions and level of neurobehavioral integration.
