Syndromic analysis

a type of neuropsychological analysis developed by A. Luria and based on the qualitative and analytical study of patterns of brain dysfunction, and not solely on quantitative measurements or superficial observation of symptoms. This analysis is based on the understanding that each syndrome or cognitive disorder is not due to damage to any one area, but due to dysfunction or imbalance in the interaction of three functional blocks of the brain: the energy block, the block of receiving and processing information, and the block of programming, organization and control.
