Systemic Family Therapy
An approach in psychotherapy that considers the family as a single system in which all members are interconnected and have a mutual influence. The goal is to improve the functioning of the family by changing the habitual patterns of interaction of its members. Systemic family therapy contributes not only to the resolution of problems and conflicts in the family, but also to changing the system of relationships itself, since conditions are created for safe communication and emotional support. Systemic family therapy appeared in the second half of the XX century.
