The concept of the neurobiological structure of personality according to E. D. Chomskaya
approach to the study of the brain organization of the personality in neuropsychology, based on the theory of the systemic dynamic brain organization of the psyche by A.R. Luria. Chomskaya proposed a structural-functional model of personality, including emotional, motivational-regulatory processes and self-consciousness. A normal personality, in her opinion, is characterized primarily by a preserved emotional-volitional sphere, adequate self-esteem and a preserved hierarchy of motives, while individual gnostic functions (memory, perception, speech, etc.) can be impaired without damage to the personality as a whole.
