The Illusion of Digital Freedom

The false sense of freedom that people experience when interacting online, believing that they are in complete control of their digital information and decisions. In reality, the algorithms and technologies used by digital companies control the type of content that is presented to them, and therefore they do not have the real freedom to decide what they want to see or interact with. This illusion can reinforce feelings of powerlessness as people later realize that their digital freedom of choice has been restricted.
