Time perspective
the process of perceiving time, which includes past experience and planning for the future. Time perspective dynamically influences many judgments, decisions, and actions, as it is associated with processes such as striving to achieve, setting goals, propensity to take risks, seeking new sensations, etc. A person’s time perspective at each moment is determined by the characteristics of the situation and individual preferences, while the latter are relatively stable and depend on cultural factors and social class. The concept of “temporal perspective” was introduced by K. Levin: in his opinion, it is an individual’s general view of his psychological future and the past existing in the present time.
