Transgenerational trauma
A concept from psychology and psychotherapy, psychological trauma (psychotrauma) formed in the generations of family members (relatives) as a result of the impact of traumatic events and life circumstances, and passed on to descendants as a result of transgenerational transmission. A term and concept used in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy to identify and designate the connection between the psychological and physical state and problems of a contemporary with the events of the life of ancestors.
