Unhealthy anger
excessive or incongruent (paradoxical) emotional reaction, characterized by uncontrollability, inclination either to aggression or to harmful suppression. Aggressive displays include yelling, threats, insults, or physical aggression that harm others or disrupt social relationships. Harmful anger suppression involves holding back emotions and not wanting to express them, leading to psychological distress, chronic stress, and psychological or physical distress. People with unhealthy anger often have difficulty effectively resolving conflicts, maintaining relationships, and making rational decisions in stressful situations.
