Unsystematized (fragmentary) nonsense

a pile of delusional ideas that may be completely unrelated to each other or have an accidental connection that the patient deduces directly during the story of his experiences. Unsystematized delusions may indicate an acute formation of delirium, but in some cases it is also observed with long-term delirium. Fragmentary delusions are more absurd than systematized ones, they are less affectively saturated and do not change the patient’s personality to the same extent. Most often, fragmentary delusions manifest themselves in a painful perception of certain facts of the surrounding reality, while delusional experiences are not combined into a coherent logical system. At the heart of fragmentary delirium is a violation of sensory cognition, direct reflection of objects and phenomena of the surrounding world.
