Video Modeling

An intervention that uses digital technology (video technology) to record and demonstrate targeted behaviors or skills. The video recording is shown to the child, who, in turn, must demonstrate the target behavior either at the moment or later. Video modeling can be organized in various formats: with the involvement of adults or peers as models; video recordings of the student himself as a model; first-person video recordings and live video communication (videofeedback). Video modeling is often combined with other techniques, such as task analysis, prompting, and reinforcement (Steinbrenner, 2020).
