Working Memory
A cognitive system that provides temporary storage and processing of information, such as remembering a phone number when typing or understanding a complex sentence. The amount of this memory, or the amount of information that can be learned, varies from person to person and directly affects the ability to learn, understand material, and solve complex problems. The development of working memory is one of the goals of modern education, as it contributes to the development of students’ mental abilities.
