In everyday life, people often think that a little distraction on a smartphone doesn&#8217;t make much of a difference in a relationship, but research shows that frequent access to a partner&#8217;s phone leads to a dramatic decrease in relationship satisfaction (Roberts, James &amp; David, Meredith). So, phubbing is the constant use of a smartphone, which causes a lack of human interaction or a more conscious and deep contact with another person, often causing unpleasant sensations to the communication partner.
