Psychological trauma results from excessive or repeated exposure to digital content that contains shocking or disturbing information. This happens in an online environment where inappropriate content is spread: cyberbullying or constant negative news. Psychologically, digital trauma can lead to increased levels of anxiety, depression, or even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
