He was one of the founders of American industrial sociology and the doctrine of &#8220;human relations&#8221;. Mayo emphasized the importance of informal aspects in the life of the production team. Some ideas of his theory:<br \/>\n1) Labor motivation is determined primarily by social norms, and not by material incentives.<br \/>\n2) The most important determinant of high labor efficiency is job satisfaction, which implies good pay, the possibility of career growth, and the attention of managers to subordinates.<br \/>\nMayo believed that the establishment of sustainable cooperation (the organization of teamwork) was a priority task of management.
