Graded Naming Test (GNT)

A neuropsychological technique designed to assess a person’s ability to name objects, which is an important part of language and cognitive function. During the test, participants are presented with a series of images of ordinary objects with a gradually increasing level of complexity. The test starts with easily recognizable objects and moves on to more complex ones. The technique helps identify language difficulties such as anomie (the inability to remember the names of objects), and is especially useful for diagnosing conditions such as aphasia, dementia, and other cognitive disorders.
