Lev Markovich Wecker (1918–2001)
Soviet and American psychologist who developed a unified theory of mental processes that explains the construction of an objective image of the world in consciousness. Professor of Leningrad State University (Russia) and George Mason University, Doctor of Psychology. He is known for the creation of a unified theory of mental processes, which explains the mechanisms of building an objective image of the surrounding reality through a systematic study of the psyche, starting with basic tactile and kinesthetic sensations and moving on to higher levels of consciousness. Wecker was a student of B. G. Ananiev and made a significant contribution to the development of the psychology of perception and modeling of mental processes.
