An outstanding Soviet psychologist. He was one of the founders of engineering psychology in the USSR and the creator of the country’s first laboratory of engineering psychology at Leningrad State University in 1959. The areas of scientific activity are the theory and methodology of psychology, general, pedagogical, engineering psychology, as well as the psychology of cognitive processes. Three levels of health analysis from the standpoint of B.F. Lomov’s system approach: biological, psychological, social. The biological level of health analysis is the dynamic balance of all internal organs and their adequate response to the influence of the environment. The psychological level of health analysis is the absence of disorders in the course of cognitive processes, the manifestation of emotions, and the choice of value orientations. The social level of health analysis is the influence of society on human health.
