Proposed strategies to combat repeat drivers
the methods and forms of work that specialists can apply in the process of interacting with repeat drivers prone to violating traffic rules:
1) Raising awareness of traffic rules – educational and awareness-raising programs that explain the risks associated with violations and the importance of compliance with the rules for ensuring public safety.
2) Use of control, reward and fine systems – introduction of traffic control technologies (radars and cameras) with a system of rewarding conscientious drivers to reduce the number of repeated violations.
3) Safe driving and self-discipline training – developing safe driving, emotion control and decision-making skills to encourage safe behaviour on the road.
4) Increasing social, moral and ethical responsibility – teaching drivers the values of respect for other road users and consideration of the consequences of individual behaviour for public safety.
