Shalva Amonashvili (born 1931)
Soviet, Georgian and Russian teacher, Doctor of Psychology. Developer of the original concept of humane pedagogy. Humane pedagogy is focused on the personality of the child, the absolute rejection of authoritarian, imperative (imperative, commanding) pedagogy. Basic guidelines:
1) The laws of the teacher: to love the child, to understand the child, to be optimistic about the child.
2) Principles: humanization of the environment around the child, respect for the child’s personality, patience in the process of becoming a child.
3) Commandments: to believe in the limitlessness of the child, in one’s own pedagogical abilities, in one’s own destiny, possibly unknown to parents and others, by virtue of a humane approach to the child.
4) Supports in the child: the desire for development, for maturation, for freedom.
5) Personal qualities of the teacher: kindness, frankness and sincerity, devotion
