Stern, William Lewis (1871–1938)
A German psychologist and philosopher, he is considered one of the first to introduce the concept of differential psychology (the psychology of individual differences) and the psychology of personality. In addition, he had a great influence on the nascent child psychology. He was the creator of the concept of the intelligence quotient, which later formed the basis of the famous IQ test by Alfred Binet. The scientist is considered one of the founders of applied psychology – psychotechnics.
