The Main Elements of the Theory of Expectations in the Context of Road Traffic
Three main points of human motivation:
1) Expectation – the belief that the efforts expended will lead to a certain result (for example, pressing the brake allows you to avoid a collision).
2) Assistance – the conviction that correct implementation leads to a certain result (compliance with traffic rules guarantees the avoidance of a fine or accident).
3) Valence – the degree of importance or attractiveness that the driver attributes to the outcome (safety, saving money, avoiding pain or punishment).
