Childhood aphasia

A neurolinguistic disorder that occurs in children as a result of dysfunction or damage to the areas of the brain responsible for shaping speech, understanding it, and associating it with stored cognitive and symbolic knowledge. Despite the preservation of basic senses, such as hearing and motor speech, the child has difficulties with expressing thoughts, understanding speech and using language symbols correctly.
