The Basic Idea of Bioequilibrium or Optimal Levels of the Yerkes-Dodson Law
scientists Robert Yerkes and John Dodson (1908) proposed that there is an inverted U-shaped curve of normal distribution between excitation and performance.
1) Too low motivation → low performance due to boredom or laziness.
2) Optimal motivation → optimal performance.
3) Too much motivation → low performance due to excessive tension and anxiety.
